1. Acceptance of Terms

By using ReWrite AI, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

ReWrite AI is a macOS application that uses AI to rewrite and transform text. The service is provided "as is" without warranties.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity under it.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Free tier: Unlimited Grammar check (subject to Fair Use Policy). 100 standard actions/month (see all conditions on pricing table).
  • Pro subscription: $6/month or $49/yr. Unlimited Grammar check (subject to Fair Use Policy). 2,000 standard actions/month. 100 premium actions/month (see all conditions on pricing table).
  • Team subscription: $4/month or $40/yr. Minimum 5 users. Unlimited Grammar check (subject to Fair Use Policy). 2,000 standard actions/month. 100 premium actions/month (see all conditions on pricing table). Access to BYOK.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled
  • Cancel anytime through the app or Stripe customer portal
  • No refunds for partial billing periods

Model Availability: Standard and Premium Action models are subject to change without notice. We depend on third-party LLM providers and may adjust our offerings as new models become available or existing ones are retired. The application will always display the currently available options.

5. Fair Use Policy

Pro and Team subscriptions include unlimited rewrites subject to this Fair Use Policy. This policy ensures all users enjoy fast, reliable service.

What is Fair Use?

Fair use means using ReWrite AI for your personal or team productivity in a reasonable manner consistent with typical human usage patterns. The vast majority of users will never encounter any limits.

Examples of Fair Use

  • Rewriting emails, documents, and messages throughout your workday
  • Using ReWrite AI as part of your normal writing workflow
  • Occasional high-volume days (e.g., working on a large project)

Examples of Unfair Use

  • Automated, scripted, or bot-driven requests
  • Reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing access to the service
  • Sharing account credentials with users outside your licensed seat count
  • Systematic bulk processing (e.g., processing entire databases of content)
  • Usage patterns that negatively impact service quality for other users
  • Circumventing or attempting to bypass usage controls

How We Enforce Fair Use

  • Soft limits: If your usage significantly exceeds typical patterns (approximately 100x the median user), you may experience temporary throttling
  • Notification: We will notify you before taking any action on your account
  • Resolution: Most fair use issues are resolved through a simple conversation—contact support@getrewrite.ai
  • Enterprise options: If you have legitimate high-volume needs, contact us for enterprise plans with dedicated capacity

Our Commitment

We will never suspend an account for fair use violations without first attempting to contact you, providing an opportunity to adjust usage, and offering alternative solutions.

Note: "Unlimited" refers to the absence of a predetermined numerical cap for typical use; it does not mean unrestricted or infinite usage. Accounts exhibiting usage patterns consistent with abuse, automation, or commercial redistribution may be throttled, suspended, or terminated at our discretion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ReWrite AI for:

  • Illegal activities
  • Generating harmful, abusive, or misleading content
  • Violating others' intellectual property rights
  • Impersonation or fraud
  • Any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your input text. Output generated by the AI is provided for your use. ReWrite AI and its logo are trademarks of ReWrite AI.

8. Limitation of Liability

ReWrite AI is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. The service is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
